Selbstevaluation: Ihr Beitrag zur Qualitätsentwicklung und -sicherung in politischer Bildung, Extremismusprävention und Demokratieförderung

Susanne Giel (freelance evaluator and self-evaluation consultant)

To what extent can self-evaluation help to strengthen the impact orientation and quality management of democracy promotion, extremism prevention, and civic education? And what characterizes (good) self-evaluation as an independent, specific methodology alongside other quality management and quality development procedures?

Susanne Giel’s PrEval Expertise and the accompanying Policy Brief offer essential insights into the possibilities and limitations of self-evaluation. The author places self-evaluation within the broader theoretical and practical context of evaluation, provides recommendations for integrating self-evaluation, external evaluation, and monitoring, and describes both ideal and practical approaches to making the most of existing potential while avoiding pitfalls.
