PrEval Studie 2/2025
Entwicklung eines KI-Kompetenzprofils aus Perspektive der politischen Bildung
Marcus Kindlinger & Hermann Josef Abs (Universität Duisburg-Essen)
Artificial intelligence (AI) is having an ever-greater impact on many areas of life. It is changing the way we communicate and work, but also how decisions are made. In order for citizens to be able to shape this process in a self-determined manner, civic education is needed that promotes digital literacy and strengthens critical thinking in dealing with AI.
From the perspective of civic education, this study asks which skills citizens need for this and which challenges arise in evaluating these skills. The authors identify these challenges and derive recommendations for anchoring and accounting for AI skills development in civic education.
