Sub-Project International Monitoring

Strategies for preventing extremism, promoting democracy and civic education are widely established around the world. Consequently, countries beyond Germany are also faced with the challenge of providing a solid evidence base for corresponding measures.

An international perspective therefore also played a central role in the “Zukunftswerkstatt Evaluationsforschung”: The PrEval sub-project “International Monitoring” aimed to contribute to the further development of evaluation and quality assurance in the prevention of extremism using an international expert survey and additional thematic studies.

The expert survey identified best practices, challenges, needs and innovative evaluation approaches for prevention measures in various countries around the world. By sharing valuable experiences on the topics of evaluation and quality assurance as well as new impulses, the sub-project promoted continuous mutual learning.
